What's New
This release of Actions Express introduces the following new features, improvements, and changes.
Access Control for Modules
Role-based access control was added to the integrations modules. It allows Actions Express administrators to control who has access to the activities that rely on a particular module instance.
All module types support access control except for:
- Module types that don't have any activities related to them, such as event-emitting modules.
- The following individual modules:
- Text Message - Command Line
- Text Message - Email
- Text Message - HTML
- Text Message - Message Queue
- Text Message - Serial Port
- Text Message - Twilio
New Position of Module Selection for Some Activities
The module instance selection field has been moved from the activity header to the activity's Settings tab for the following activities:
- Send Email
- Send SMS
- Advanced Communicate
Mandatory Module Selection for Some Activities
The following activities were changed to require module instance selection before saving their changes:
- SendEmail
- Advanced Communicate (only when Email or All is selected for Channel)
Activities within existing workflows with no module instance selected will continue to attempt auto-selection of a module instance until you change the activity settings. At that point, you will be required to select a module instance before you are allowed to save.
